Hi thereYeah, just some happy snaps of me, just doing the stuff I do. Think of this as a sneaky peak into the life of Harper, cos none of the other blogs are that...
Here's me catching up on some important reading - Hawk Talk. Some of the new recruits are barely older than me. Note, I am eating strawberries. This excites mum a lot. She is so easily pleased.
Here's me in the bath. I can't remember all of what happened, but I do remember this - there was a giant fish and I thought it looked tasty so I tried to catch it. Next thing I know, I am looking like I have been trapped by a baddie in Scooby Doo.
Here's me at Dan and Helen's house for Jones's second birthday. While I am checking out the dogs, Jones auditioned for So You Think You've Got New Pants. Turned out, she did. Hooray.
Here's me reading my mail. I get a bit of fan mail you know. I like to read it during breakfast, to get on top of my correspondance early. This one was a card from a crazy fan from Shepparton.
I like to write back to my fans. To the crazy fan in Shepp, I wrote "Thanks for your card, it had nice chickens on it. I like chicks. I am Ok about cows, cos I know sometimes you can't be fussy. Thanks for the card, it was tops, love Harper." I know I made someone's day... So there you go, crazy times in Campsie (and Harris Park).CheersHarper
Hot damn!Australian Fashion Week needed some new blood. So I said, "Step aside you surly, anorexic slappers, let a true stunner strut their stuff". Then I said, "I...can't....turn....left" at which point mum banned me from watching Zoolander again.
My first look: The Way of the Ninja. I channel the ancient ninja, while clutching a cup of milk, my way of acknowledging the influence of dairy cows on fashion. I am talking about leather. Anyway, how ace are my ninja pjs? They are COOOOOOL.
My second look: KMart Special. This was just too hott for the latest catalogue. I think KMart are thinking of a calendar shoot instead. Just me and a whole bunch of kids play equipment. It will sell like crazy.
But it's not all posing. There is a serious side. On Monday, mum and I headed out in matching striped tees, Tuesday it was matching green t-shirts, Wednesday it was matching khaki shorts. I said "enough already". Then Dad decided to have a go...and you know, I have always loved German football teams, especially if they play in the lower league.
Dad and I discuss St Pauli often. Here we are discussing the best forward structure. I say "René Schnitzler should play forward as a sole striker" and dad is all like "no way, David Hoilett is the man, team him up with Ömer Sismanoglu and it's goal season". But what does he know? Nah, we don't really talk about St Pauli. There is only one conversation right now - how is anyone going to stop the Hawks this year? Geelong, with a fully fit team, struggle to beat us with six of our top 22 out. Just award the Premiership now I say...CheersHarper
Hey thereSummer loving, having a blast, summer loving, happened so fast...Before I know it, it's something called Autumn. What's with that? I was digging summer - beaches, late nights, watching cricket with dad on the couch, trips to the pool. I reckon some of that might continue anyway. But enough - let's get to the good stuff (and no, not Grease the movie...man that blows).
The best bits of summer were ICE CREAM, lots of swimming, hanging out barefoot, ICE CREAM, trips to 'sandpit' and ICE CREAM. I have developed a taste for this ice cream stuff, funnily enough, like my mum has. We see if we can eat it all day. This pic was taken in the Shire. Sadly, I become very intolerant for a bit there, but happily as soon as we got out of the Shire I became a well-adjusted human again.
Mum and dad launched a backyard blitz the other weekend. Lots of cutting, trimming, sweeping, raking and stinking up the great outdoors (dad needed a shower). Then it was chow time - we got stuck into some leftover pizza. Truly the food of the gods.
One day, when I wasn't watching, something appeared in my room. It's called a 'bed' apparently. Combined with the wall changing colour, things in my world are just in a constant state of change. There is one thing that's always been around - Hawkey Bear. He's a bit ace.
And here's me road-testing the bed. It's so much better now mum and dad bought a mattress. The first few days were a bit rough, just a slat base and all. So, summer ended with me sleeping in my own bed at night, with my last few teeth coming through, with me having lots more words (and I have named all my books) and an addiction to this ICE CREAM thing. Mmm, tasty, might have one now.CheersHarper
Hi allI went to Melbourne a few weeks back. That's where Siddy is, and Auntie Alice and Uncle Greggy. I had a great time. See below for proof:
I had my first sleep over. And I was behaved. Totally. Only woke up once, then went back to sleep. It's only for my parents that I misbehave. Thanks again Espositos. Youse are the best...if only you had a puppy. And it was a poodle.
Mum and dad went to somewhere called Ballarat for something called a wedding. Meh, I wasn't invited so I don't care. But is it just me or does mum have her dad's nose? I think she should give it back.
After my first sleep over, Auntie Alice and Uncle Greg took me and Siddy (helpfully dressed the same) to Kyneton to meet mum, dad and Mama and Papa at their new block of land. It's a big block and I am looking forward to seeing the playground they install. Oh, and the house but that's hardly important.
Sid expressed his co-dressing joy by doing a big poo on the main street of Kyneton. Well, it was in his nappy but Auntie Alice changed him on the car. In the main street. He owns that town now.
Here's me with mum who is holding another little one, called Celeste. I thought she was pretty cute but didn't want her to get any ideas about who mum belongs to.
At the airport, time was spent whacking a silver ball with flippers while lots of lights blinked and stuff. Dad seemed to enjoy it - I helped by putting my boof head in the way. No extra ball for you dad. We also saw Nana and Popa at the airport which was good fun. They got to watch me play on lots of different things, like the luggage trolleys, internet cafes, pay phones (in between watching me chat up hot hosties. Grrrrrr).
And then it was home...and time for a debrief. Mum said we won't be going back to Melbourne for a while. Something about to fat to fly? I don't know, I'm not that much bigger than other kids my own age am I? So there, another adventure down, about a million more to go. And a blog for each...or maybe not.CheersHarper
